Kitsap Telework Pilot Project

Registration is closed for this event

Telework has rapidly evolved from the early days of modems to the still recent deployment of high speed internet services. The technology for remote workers is well established and getting even better, but management and workplace needs evolve at different speeds and create different barriers. Despite increasing numbers of home based businesses and thousands of high-tech firms, there are still many "knowledge workers" making the long, cross-Sound commute.

The Kitsap Telework Pilot Project conducted a 15 month study with local employers, including Microsoft in one of their first telework studies. Come join as us project principal Mary McClure, policy advisor Ed Stern and others present findings and engage in a lively Q&A.

Cost: Free to WSTA members and guests with member passes; $10 for non-members. Refreshments and monthly geek raffle prize for members. Registration is required.
